2017 MCTE Middle School Teacher of the Year and recently retired from Mason where I taught for thirty years. Author of Flowers for Rodney and They Said She Was Crazy, I continue working with writers and young adults to find the power of their words through writing workshops, retreats, author presentations, and public speaking. My experiences with RCWP in 2006 were the impetus to fulfilling my dreams of being a writer, and I would love to talk to teachers about how to push themselves and their students as writers.
